The final match venue was shifted to Southampton from Lord’s due to the pandemic and emergency in London. This series is a final of two and half years of men’s Test cricket after the world test championship was introduced in 2019, to give the greater context to the longest format of cricket.

Both, the team India and New Zealand qualified courtesy with leading the point table with a coemption of 9 teams.

Only limited crowds are allowed in the stadium for the first four days and around 3,200 spectators will be allowed into the Ageas Bowl. Wednesday has been scheduled as a reserved day to allow making up the time lost during the match.

The sixth day will be reserved to claim the lost time, but this will be only done if there will be no result at the end of 5 regular days, and the prize money of $1.7 million money and test mace, the trophy awarded to the top-ranked men’s team and wines will be jointly named.

The India cricket team is a powerhouse. The team has won many tournaments including the world cup and T20 series. The team includes batsmen like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Rishabh Pant. And the bowling lines include Mohammad Shami and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. And the other lineup includes Jasprit Bhumra, Ishant Sharma, and Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
India’s only defeat in the past eight series was with New-Zealand when Williamson’s side won a home series at the start of 2020.

There are people and some authorities who are still convinced about the test championship, including ICC itself. This will be a historic match in the history of cricket. As the teams said it is good to give relevance to test cricket.

After what happened with the super over in 2019, many people became inclined toward New-Zealand and now want the team to win this title. The wet weather has been forecasted for the day of match, and will suit the bowlers of New Zealand. But many people believe that both the teams are worthy finalists of the match.
